LOL wow its been really crazy going up here. No one warned me how friggin cold it can get but it aite. The journey was pretty heart warming from the last few days with my friends to departure and all its dilemmas to finally moving all my stuff to my new home for the next couple of yrs in San Franncisco.
Yap the only thing i brought with me is 3 suitcase of clothes, pair of shoes, my tablet and my dreams
Its been like almost half a year since i uploaded something on DA.. mostly i blame myself for being a major procrastinator n easily distracted by things hehe..anyways i will most likely to do some work n upload it. Especially since I m attending Academy of Art University (AAU)!!! yesss!! The skools great, so much things to do, so much events coming up, and so much interesting looking people. I missed my International student orientation and my tour TT_TT but i was able to make it to the Fall Orientation so its pretty sweet to see so much young ambitious artist and get to know our teachers and their crazy personality. I m in the animation/visual effects major but our department is the biggest so yah. Living expense is higher than most state i ve been to but san fran is much cleaner, people friendly and good transportation. Oh did i mention its a beautiful city.
Something bout my new skool:
well as some of u might know that AAU is a very well recognized institution b/c of the quality artist it help product in the industry....sooo that means it has high expectation from its students and faculties but likewise u probably have high expectation from yourself in the beginning to attend this institution. The building and studio is situated all over the city but there is skool shuttle/ transportation service that will take u to your class free of charge ( but then they probably took it out from ur payment haha) In truth transportation in san fran is convienent and cheap..besides most of my class is so near i can probably get there walking in 10-15 min.
Living in a Dorm:
my dorms pretty big but its share among 6 dudes..I was able to meet all of them and they are pretty kool cats..so its goin to be a fun ride. The dorm is full equip with everything from kitchen appliance, to washer n dryer, furniture, everything else u might need but no MICROWAVE..they promise to give us one soon hopefully..b/c i need it for popcorn on movie nights or a lil midnight snack hehe. oh i forgot to mention my dorm has wifi but some website is block so thats a hassle for me since i use msn messenger n yahoo for my mail and contact..
so hope they hurry up and get the company to unblock us but throughout the whole city theres hotspots so i can use it there..
Finally for those of u still reading this thanks and apologizes for my rants hehe. Well i will be updating more i promise. classes already started and assignment also..so i will be working alot more and c where tat ll lead to.
